The nursery school operates between 8.45 – 3.15pm each day term time only. There are four well resources and inviting classrooms making up the indoor learning environment. In addition we have an extensive and stimulating outdoor learning environment. Our experienced practitioners will support your child’s learning through planned activities or children may initiate their own play and build up new friendships in this way. Key staff will help settle your child after having made a home visit to meet your child before they start school.
In addition we have a newly built sensory room with equipment to support children’s development of sensory awareness and in particular to give extra support to pupils who have additional needs.
Staff teams plan for individual children based on their observations of children’s interests and stages of development. We have found that this enables children to reach their full potential whilst they are with us.
Children move on from Clyde when they are four years old and mainly go to the primary schools in the local area. We work closely with our colleagues in each of the primaries and support each child with this transition. We have found that this gives every child the best possible start.
