Greenwich Park picnic 2026
Dear everyone
Greenwich Park Picnic
This will be on Friday July 3rd and nursery will be closed on that day so that everyone can attend. You are welcome to come and meet with us at nursery and travel with us, or come and meet us at the park if you prefer. Staff will be leaving here at 9.30am and travelling by bus to the park. We will be setting up camp next to the play park, near the main entrance and boating pond and aim to be there around 10am.
You are welcome to come and go from the park as you like. You can come for the whole time, for a little while or just for lunch – it’s entirely up to you! There will be staff on all the gates into the play park and of course they will come and play with you and your child whenever they can.
You will need,
- - Food and drinks for you and your child – there is a small kiosk in the play park
- - Something to sit on
- - Sun cream, hat and clothing which allows your child to be able to play and keep cool
- - A little bit of money in case you’d like to get ice creams or coffee!
Staff will stay at the park until around 2.30pm. Families can come and go as you like so please don’t feel that you have to stay and travel with us. You are more than welcome to bring your other children and family members with you.
It’s a great day and a lovely way to celebrate the school year.
End of Year Celebration
Our celebrations will start at 1.30 – 3pm on Friday 17 of July. Please note that there will not be any nursery for part time children on that day – full timers will be here as normal but from 1:30 onwards they will need an adult to be with them as all of our staff will be busy with stalls and activities. All part time children and their families are welcome to come and join us at 1.30 – parents will need to stay with their children for the whole time. We would love to see you in your party clothes or traditional clothing if you would like to.
And some other bits and pieces…
For children returning to Clyde in September, school will reopen on Monday September 7th September 2026.
For families who move into new schools we wish you every success and for those coming back to us, we’ll be looking forward to seeing you in September!
With all best wishes
Cathryn Kinsey-Headteacher
